I'm interested in your product, but I can't find out which license should I purchase. I think "Isolator Personal" should fit my profile, but I don't understand what is actually included with each license type.

For example, "Isolator Personal" features "All standard features": well, which features are "standard features"? And which ones are "non standard"?
Again, "Isolator ASP.NET Bundle" lists "Full Isolator version": what's included in full version with respect to "standard features"?
Can I run unit test in asp.net applicatons with "Isolator Personal"?

Moreover, which "Advanced faking options" are included in "Isolator Commercial"?

Is Ivonna available with "Isolator Personal"?

TIA

Hi,

Isolator Personal is intended for individual develoeprs, or one-man workshops. It has all the features of Typemock Isolator Commercial.

The same goes for Isolator ASP.NET Bundle - the Isolator included in the bundle is Isolator Commercial. The bundle also includes Ivonna, of course, for ASP.NET developers.

And of course, you can buy Ivonna and use it with Isolator Personal.

I hope I was more clear - let me know if not.

OK things are much clearer now.

I can't find a quote for Ivonna alone or as an addon for Isolator Personal. Where is it listed?

Hi You can see this info in add-ons page in our site here
Basically Ivonna runs as add-on to the Isolator.

OK, but the "Buy now" link redirects to the standard purchase page, where I do not see any option to purchase Ivonna alone or as an addon to "Isolator Personal".

you know, you're absolutely right. When we launched the ASP.NET bundle, we neglected to offer an alternative way to buy Ivonna as a standalone product.

I've made the necessary changes - you can get a Personal license, and Ivonna is offered as well

I'm confused too. One page states that you need a license to use more advanced parts. So does that mean that you can download the trial and when it expires continue to use it providing you don't use these "advanced" features? Previously I believe this was true when there was a community edition and there was a nice table explaining what features you could and couldn't use. Where has that gone?

It's true that we had a limited Community version, but that was discontinued about a year ago. You can try out Isolator for free for 21 days, and after that you'll need to purchase a license to continue unit testing with Isolator.

By the way - where did you see that you need a license for the more advanced features?

Ah, and Oh. So we now have to pay <gulp>
Well it was in the T&C for downloading, hence we download it!...
'License Fees
In order to be permitted to use certain, more advanced, features of Typemock Isolator, you will be required to purchase a user code for specified license fees. You may not use such advanced features without, first, paying the required license fees.'

Thanks for the heads-up, and I'll go over the terms and conditions again.

As for the latests Commercial edition, it's more than worth it, both in time you save and in the simplicty it brings to your unit tests.
