Version 3.1

Following are the release notes for version 3.1.

Hide C# Code
Hide Visual Basic Code

Integration enhancement

Professional and Enterprise Edition Only (See Typemock Isolator Editions)
Typemock Isolator now supports NAnt and MSBuild scripts.
TMockRunner has been extended and is now fully functional.

Support of multiple .NET frameworks

You can choose the .NET runtime environment from all Command Line Tools (NAnt, MSBuild and TMockRunner).

More code coverage

Professional and Enterprise Editions Only (see Typemock Isolator Editions)
We have expanded the list of our partners and Typemock Isolator now supports code coverage from:

  • Clover.NET from Cenqua
  • TestRunner from Mailframe
  • Team Studio Code Coverage from Microsoft

Automatic initialization

Typemock Isolator now automatically recognizes known testing frameworks and starts inserting mock code. This is essential for enterprise-wide tests to be consistent. To use the old method, use fast mode.

Easier mocking framework

More APIs added to ease the creation of a mocking framework (see Retrieving Mocks from the Framework).

Enterprise Edition Only (see Typemock Isolator Editions)

  • New Stub Mode VerifyMode.DontClear: expectations will not fail if some calls are still expected and expectations are not cleared.

More flexibility

Mocked objects that are run from within the ParameterCheckerEx delegate are also mocked.
Enterprise Edition Only
(see Typemock Isolator Editions).
It is now possible to create new MockObjects inside Dynamic Return Delegates.

Relaxed security requirements

Security requirements for using Typemock Isolator have been relaxed.

More argument checks

Argument checks have been extended:

  • Check.IsClose() now supports int and real.

Better Help and examples

The Help file is now combined and contains all information in a single help system.
Enterprise Edition Only (see Typemock Isolator Editions) users can receive the Help file integrated into Visual Studio to add to their productivity.

Examples now include MSBuild and NAnt files as well as both Visual Studio .NET 2003 and Visual Studio .NET 2005 projects.
